I heard that quality knifes should not be cleaned in dishwasher because the soap is to violent and will damage the blades, what about the health?

ha ha, the soap is 'violent' ????!!!
it will eventually get arrested for popping a cap in the knives' ases!

Quality knives should never be put in a dishwasher. I always wash them by hand. If they have wooden handles that is even worse on them.
Eventually the water breaks down the wood.
Washing dishes in the dishwasher is safe because the super hot water will help to kill germs.
Even some silverware will become pitted if washed in the dishwasher. I have had that happen.

I think the damage to the knives is more due to food left on the knife when it's put in the dishwasher. The food may contain sugars which will turn to acid and etch the knife. The same with other utensils. We always rinse the silverware before we let it sit in the dishwasher. We haven't had any problems. Good luck

dishes are cleaned much better because they are washed with very hot water.they are not only cleaned properly but also are very hygienic.dont worry nothing happens to the knives.they are very strong .
