It can be a much quicker way to calculate the answer and also a quicker way to identify the answer to a high level or accuracy.

Newtons Method is a recursive method of calculating the value of a particular function (assuming that the function has a couple of characteristics).
Linear algebra is the study of transformations between vector spaces (or other algebraic structures).
The two have almost nothing in common.
