I assume you mean Dan Gable. He went to Iowa State and compiled a 118-1 record, his only loss being in his final match. He then coached at the University of Iowa, where he compiled a record of 355-21-5 and 17 NCAA championships from 1977-97, including 9 in a row at one point.
Cael Sanderson, the only wrestler to go undefeated for 4 years, also attended Iowa State, and is now their head coach.
