Why is the Iraq War so important to the future of the Middle East?

Is it because of Democracy taking hold & Saddam being out of power, or because we no longer have the threat of WMDs?

For me, it's because of the fact that we get to use our military might and demonstrate that the USA is a country to be reckoned with!

We need to fight and win the Iraq war for many reasons. Here are just a few: 1) The Middle East will be more stable with a democratic Iraq. 2) Saddam needed to have his murderous ways stopped. 3) We will win against the terrorists one nation at a time. 4) We do not provide Iran and Al Queda with another country to train in. 5)The people of Iraq are deserving of freedom from oppression. 6) To prove to Osama and his cohorts that the USA is not a paper tiger. There are more but I'm tired of typing.

I think it was just for the oil, but I don't think it's just for showing their might. Also the Middle East is a very reckless place, there hasn't been peace there since a thousand years ago.
Palestine and Israel have been going to war for a long time now. So when Iraq is done and over with and everyone is happy, then there will be peace in the Middle East.

If we don't take care of the problem we will have another twin trade towers, but it seems that America has already forgotten all about the people that lost their lives to that terrorist act. We just recently had the same amount of people die in this war as we lost in the twin tower incident. I think that it is really great that we have fought the war for this long and within the last year we just caught up to the amount of people lost in their terrorist threat, and remember that was only one that we counted, we did not include the ships that they bombed and the lives that were lost there. Sadam was killing so many people, he even murdered his own daughters and their husbands!! Readers Digest was writing articles about all the people he would years before we went into Iraq. What upsets me is the fact that all of these countries want us to help feed them, set them free, and then they turn on us like a wicked snake!! Look what happened in Somolnia with the Black Hawk Down! We went in to feed them because they were starving to death and then they try to kill us as soon as they get their health back! I think that they are all crazy!! I am to the point that we need to level off all of those countries because they are all crazy. They have no respect for human life and they live to hurt other people. I am proud of our Armed forces! They are unsung Heros!!!

According to you the Iraq War is important because "we get to use our military might." Is that the be-all and end-all of your knowledge of the Middle East?

However, you probably shouldn't feel bad if that's all you know. Our president knows even less and it hasn't stopped him from alienating the rest of the world and killing thousands of Americans and Iraqis.

We must have a stable Arab ally in the middle east. Jimmy "Commy" Carter threw our last ally in the middle east to the dogs. Turns out this is the very country that is causing most of the trouble for us in Iraq and when they gain nuclear capabilities the rest of the world. Can you guess who it is?
