Your Q is a bit vague but I'm trying to connect with what you are trying to mean... So here goes..
It's not about the religion darling.
Fortunately, Philippines is not included on the Indian Ocean Countries who are affected when the undersea earthquake occured few years ago but some of the Filipinos who were working or having a vacation in Thailand died and are still missing until now.
Cowards & narrow-minded religious zealots are the only one who are thinking about the religion is caused by the tsunami. If you get what I mean. I hope....

the Philippines is far from where the tsunami hit. its in asia though. the affected countries are our neighbors.
so basically, its because of geographic location and not because of religion why the tsunami 'evaded' us. it did not stop us from freaking out of course since there are a lot of Filipinos there.
i admit that our culture dictates for us to be religious. we are actually a very religious people. but it has never stopped erathquakes from happening, or volcanoes from exploding or that landslide from wiping out an entire (literally) community. it happened at noontime when kids were at school and parents busy with work. a rumbling was heard and in less than an hour a portion of a mountain collapsed and covered the entire community. maybe u just have not heard enough of what is going on in our country for you to ask that.

Religion had nothing to do with the deaths that occurred because of the Tsunami.
The Phils wasn't directlly affected by it dueto the location of thr earthquake and the fact that other land masses were directly in the path of the Tsunami. I think that you would also find that Christians were also killed.

the philippines wasn't affected by the tsunami. we're a bit far from those countries. we have our own disasters and calamities that affect us yearly, so religion doesn't have anything to do with this.
