If they stop having sex it is because the man feels he no longer has to make his lady feel like she is the most attractive woman in the world to him, since he already married her.
To add to that, the longer a relationship lasts the more emotional baggage builds up, making people less inclined to be passionate with their partners.

most married couples, after a certain amount of time, get bored because they stopped trying to excite the other person. All the little things that used to be so much fun to do for each other become chores, and unfortunately sex becomes a chore. Although there are some couples that will continue to work on the relationship forever, those are the 2% of married people who still have sex.

There maybe a lot of reasons for example health issues. As long as married people have love, understanding, caring in their relationship, the physical act of sex, if absent, does not break the marriage.
Therefore, sex is not the most important thing in a marriage and remember I said, "is not the most important thing"

well hon married people do have sex, but some couples have issues like a medication makes there libido go way low and then they don't feel the need, or couples get bored with each other or are just plain to tired after running after kids all day and keepin house and all that fun stuff, so there are alot of different things to look at there..

Married people enjoy sex much in the mind rather then doing it all the time practically as they are more involved with other nitty grittys of life. Also i think the priorities in life changes as you come of age

Never heard of this. Happily married, in love and lust still after over 17 years! I guess it depends on the relationship...

Some do, some dont. In a good, healthy marriage they do. If they don't then there is obviously a problem with one or the other or both keeping them from being intimate, be it physical or emotional.
