Pokemon Fire red pick up truck?

Question

You know the pick up truck on the platform across the SS anne in fire red? What do you do with it? I remember in the old red, you had to have all pokemon and you had to use strength on it to get Mew. But in this one you cant use Strentgh

There's a pick up truck on the platform by the SS Anne? Are you sure you're playing Pokemon FireRed?

I've played FireRed and LeafGreen and I've never seen a pick up truck anywhere near the SS Anne. The SS Anne is just there so you can battle with the people in the cabins, find random things, battle with your rival, and make the sick captain feel better so you can get the HM for Cut. You can't get Mew in FR/LG, you can get a couple of the Legendaries after the Elite Four but you can't get Mew unless you have a Gameshark or an Action Replay.

If this is part of a Nintendo Events thing then I can't help you there, though I'm pretty sure that the Nintendo Event to get Mew is only for the Emerald or Ruby/Sapphire versions, one of those.

The pickup is still there, but I believe that you can't let the ship sail in order to acess the place. But the only thing there is a Lava Cookie (the only one on FR/LG, btw).
