I have a 1997 ford explorer 4.0 OHV and it idles funny and i went and got it inspected and the mechanic said it was my EGR valve so i replace it and the EGR vavle pressure sensor and it still idleing funny. And even if i slam on the gas it doesnt accelerate as fast as it used to.. I mean its really slow...please help!!!!!!

when the EGR was replace where the passages cleaned if not clean them. if that does not help:
IAC Valve (idle air control) sometimes you can take them off and clean them but if that does not work replace it.

When the EGR valve went bad it fouled the spark plugs. Replace them.

Check your cat. If it's clogged, the high back pressure could have affected your EGR.

Found Off Road Dead.
Fix Or Repair Daily
It could also be computer problem that damaged the EGR.
Bad fuel,fuel intake trouble,fouled plugs etc.
