In 'Education and Reference' category, 'Crazy' has a record of 31% best answers (4522 out of 14586 answers, as of now), and bruhaha has 73% best answers (1169 out of 1591, as of now) in 'Words and Wordplay'.
I know of some other categories where some people have even better scores.
I think just getting a high percentage of best answers, in itself, is not an indication of being very knowledgeable. I have come across some people who ask questions and have arrangements with a few others who give answers that have been agreed upon in advance. The asker then selects the best answers of these friends, who then accumulate high points! In any case, achieving a high score or answering a large no. of questions, is not a criterion - what one has to see is the quality of questions and the quality of answers chosen as best answers, to form a fair judgment.

That's very good. By my personal experience on here, if I don't select my own best answer before the deadline, & the community votes, the person with the mean, dirty, cruel answer gets the best vote, & that's not fair at all. That's why I select my own best answers of the people who are willing to help & deserve it & are not into the game for the points.

I only have 11 % but that's because I tend to answer a lot of immigration questions
But I do have 74 Best Answers, which I am proud of!

20% is only 1/5 of them, so it is only 14. that is a very good score, she probably includes her source in every answer, or maybe even looks up the answers herself to answers she doesnt know off-hand.

Sure it is not uncommon. I myself have 23% for best answer. I have seen some people with 80% best answers, but they cheat and can't be counted as a real person who answers them and doesn't cheat.
