There will be times when I'm delivering a pizza, and something about the person's decor will catch my eye. If I think something is interesting (like a unicorn skull someone had hanging on their wall), I go right out and say so. :)

I often compliment strangers. It can't hurt and it might give someone a little extra boost. I don't think I've ever been too shy to compliment someone but I have been in situations where it would have been awkward or the timing was bad. Like someone sitting near you at a funeral is wearing some really great shoes. I compliment people about what they are wearing or their hair. I also compliment them about their dogs and their babies. You can't go wrong telling somebody they have a great looking dog or a beautiful baby.

I have no problem compllimenting a stranger that I believe is approachable. And it has happened to me when a young man followed me out of a hospital where I was visiting and asked if he could ask me a personal Q and I said it all depended-so he asked the brand of perfume I was wearing which I answered and he explained his wife just had a baby and he wanted to give her whatever it was I had on me. I did explain that fragrances don't always emit the same fragrance on others due to body chemistry. (by the way, I get compliments on this fragrance really often and it amazes me!)
And when someone hugs me, they comment how nice I smell!(course they are usually not strangers.)

Why not compliment someone-as with yourself, it really can make one's day and nothing wrong with making someone feel good, is there.

I often compliment a stranger. I'll tell a chic that I really like her dress, hair, bag etc. and at the service station (gas station) I've complimented guys before if I think they have a cool car, I'll also tell parents that they have gorgeous kids or well behaved kids - whatever I notice and if it impresses me then I let that person know!

Sure. I like to compliment people on their outfits or their jewelry if it's really interesting. I think it's nice to get compliments from total strangers. Means you're being noticed.

Yes, I would and I do. Especially the ladies they LOVE compliments. Don't be shy, give every lady one no mater what they look like. Find something nice about them and let them know. You can really make someone's day. I would give guys compliments but my man ain't havin' that.

Yeah I would and I have before but it all depends on whether they look friendly and approachable enough. There was this time I was wearing a dress and a lady in office attire ran up to me and said, Hi, I just came to let you know you look really lovely in the dress. It made me smile though surprised and it is a feel good feeling. I do make it a practice of doing it to others too especially in clubs or bars (to men and ladies) when everyone is in a friendly and sociable mode.

It depends on the situation but there have been lots of times when I've wanted to compliment someone but didn't.

All the time and it's better to say something than not (as long as it's genuine and not offensive) - beautiful women receive most of my compliments.
