nah - it's just the poll is slanted from Rio Linda, CA
I vacationed in Manassas VA and saw the local TV stations
report the 'inside the beltway' news - and when NBC CBS ABC CNN came on that night - they were no where NEAR
the stories that the local affiliates had reported on
like - were they even in the same city -
nope - the big boys have an agenda - and we are stupid enough to believe what we hear and see
I wonder if that's why FOX has more viewers than all of them put together?
God Bless America!

I don't put much credibility in polls.
I would offer that the only way to determine if they are going to win or lose is to first look at the objectives they went to accomplish.
1 they went to change of the regime
2 they went to neutralize any WMD
3 they went to put a stop to terrorist training camps
4 they went to take the war on terror to the terrorists
Did the US accomplish any of these?
Saddam is out of power and a democratically elected governement has been established and is maturing faster than ours did in the 1700s.
The US found less WMD than we were expecting, but they did find some and they have been destroyed.
The terrorist training camps in northern Iraq were eleminated. They may be training in the mountains of Pakistan or Iran, but they are not in Iraq.
Since the war began, there have been no successful attacks on the US homeland.
Hmmm. It seems that the objectives were all met, doesn't it?
So the US actually has already won the war.
Polls are almost always slanted by wording the questions so that the pollsters get the answer they want and polls are usually conducted in demographic areas so that they get the numbers they want. When was the last time someone in Rural America called by a pollster? They almost always poll in urban areas which are more densely populated by liberals.
46% said the US could not win the war in Iraq. What was the question? “Do you think terrorism will ever be completely wiped out?” Or perhaps it was “Do you agree that unless the Iraqi people step up, the problems over there will continue?”
37% said the US will wind the war in Iraq versus 54% who said it will not. And was the question, “Will the US or the Iraqi people be the deciding factor in who will win in Iraq?”
And of the 60% that want the US to leave Iraq immediately, was the question “Would you like to see the war sooner or later?”

They certainly died in vain. I wish they went to college or did something with their lives, but they made horrible mistakes and died for it. I'd fight a war for an honest cause, but can't imagine fighting a battle some wimp politician would soil his pants within 1000 miles of.
I imagine that this IS the PR plan of the Liberal Democrat politicians....not citizens......, who truly glory in the deaths because they would rather benefit from Bush's failure than see American kids live and thereby justify the "Republican" Iraq plan....they are politicians, and they have the morals of child molesters.
I just honestly believe kids who join the army are joining a dangerous job where they knew the risks, don't screw around with your life, you may end up dying in vain!
I'm not a soldier, and I hate it that US soldiers who deserted rather than go to Iraq are being persecuted, when they are really the only ones being honorable and using their heads, saying "I'll fight and do my job, but this kind of crap is not the job I signed up to do....let me fight and serve where I can do the job I signed up to do....defend my country."
PS: It's not democracy if you GOTTA love it.

they polled 1,027 people, and somehow came up with a margin of error of +-3 percent? That's worse than CBS thinking 0.1 percent is a majority.

Yeah! Right! CNN Poll. No reason to think that wouldn't be slanted (sarcasm intended).

US must withdraw its troops in Iraq because they are fighting a wrong war. The Iraqis must have their own government and to have a full control of its oil.
