Boundary ropes are now used at all Australian venues. The change has been made to increase player safety and aid the decision making of boundaries.
In addition, the new Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) Laws of Cricket has a changed definition for boundaries (Law 19, Section 2, page 43).
The MCC Laws of Cricket booklet can be purchased from your local state cricket association.
