I'm not certain that this administration is all that much more incompetent or corrupt than others. I think the big difference is that, because the president and those around him are "true believers," almost fanatically committed to a very specific set of beliefs, they have no capacity to doubt themselves or to re-examine their actions.
Most politicians have some ability to recognize when things have turned against them and they know when to back off. President Bush and his people seem to lack that quality. They just keep plunging blindly forward, and dragging us along with them.
The good news is that it'll be over in less than two years.

I just answered a question a while back about failure. It was actually quite frightening. I have my settings on my browser to go to Canadian referencing initially because I am doing some legal research. The questioner asked respondents to type in their web browser, 'Failure,' guess WHO was the top reference?' That has since changed and he has been moved to about second down.
I was looking at your governments' 'no-confidence motion' and I see that it is a tactic more utilized to embarrass a present government. I don't even think that would work. Bush doesn't seem to mind being embarrassed at all. Are y'all just gonna wait it out?

Analogous with a sinking ship. They've got 19 months and they are gone.
Plus 8 or 9 weeks between the next Presidential Election and the swearing-in of the new 'White House' administration.
History will be harsh on the G.W.Bush years,to say the very minimum.

I wouldn't say the ship of state is sinking. Its more like it's being steered by a Chimp wearing a blindfold through a fog in a sea fillled with icebergs. And he won't even take the blindfold off because he's determined to "stay the course."
Keep your life jacket handy.

The latest "scandal" is firing 9 federal attorneys. This isn't a scandal. Clinton, for example, fired 96 federal attorneys, that's every one, and replaced them with his own appointees.

As long as they continue to depict everyone who disagrees with them as un-American then they will get away with whatever they want.
