I recommend going around evening time as before that the stalls will just be setting up.

Expect the weather to be hot and humid, don't worry too much about Typhoons - if one hits then you can just go the next day.

To play it safe, I'd at least wait until 3pm then go. Being Taiwan everything is open til quite late so 'wufenpu' won't start to close til at leat 11 pm! Meaning you can have a full day out and then hit wufenpu last.

Other places you'll be able to pick up some trendy bargains include:

- Ximen Ding (for the young and fashionable).

- Taipei City Mall - beneath Taipei Main Station (you'll find hundreds of bargains here, well under the department stores prices and quite fashionable too).

- Sogo - Zhong-Xiao Don-Lu ( there are two Sogo department stores above this MRT station - one has just opened and has the trendiest, latest most chick stuff - although it's really expensive).

Anytime is a good time to visit Taipei. In June and July you just have to be aware that typhoons can put a crimp in your plans and can delay things if they do appear. Expect it to be HOT and probably wet and muggy outdoors. Air-conditioners and shade are your friends.

Just pay attention to weather forecasts. Most typhoons dont appear until later in the summer, late July and August and September is when the majority seem to effect Taiwan.

June is probably a better bet but life doesnt always follow previous patterns and I cannot guarantee great weather!

If you want affordable trendy clothes you can try Wupenfu. If you want more pricy/better quality/ genuine, check near 101 in the malls around there- New York New York, Mitsukoshi, etc. There is a ton of shopping all over Taipei- i will leave that for someone else with more direct Taipei info to help you with!

You chose the hottest and most humid time. Although, if you come here to shop, shopping malls are all air-conditioned.
Best time for Taipei: November - cooler and less humid

Aeropostale (a rip of Hollister) and American Eagle (a rip of Abercrombie and Fitch) the two have fairly low fee outfits. yet once you pick much extra fee-effective than that, i could advise Plato's closet, TJ Maxx, Ross, Marshalls, or maybe objective (I also have a number of of stuff from their Mossimo kind)
