Hello,
I am 9 weeks also. I actually found out I was pregnant while I was at the doctors for something else. I was 5 weeks, 5 days at that point. Anyway, my doctor made my first appointment for next week which makes me 10 weeks. My doctor said that she likes to wait until closer to the end of the first trimester for the first appointment. I know how you feel though. I've read about so many woman going to the doctors at least 3 times by now.
I wouldn't switch doctors if I were you. Just hold on and soon we will both get to hear our babies heart beat! I can't wait!!!!

This is totally normal. You don't go in for your first apt until 10 to 12 week. Unless something is wrong or you have a history of problems this is the normal time everyone goes in for there first apt. I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow and my first official apt is next Thurs. the day i turn 10 weeks. At this time your Dr. will probably do a pap and ultrasound to check the size of the baby, they will also check for the heart beat. Have you gone in for a test and labs yet? I'm not sure how everyone does it, but you should have some blood tests before your first apt. If you haven't done any labs yet I would call and see if you can get those done before hand so your all set. Other than that...congrats on your pregnancy and don't worry they know what they are doing. Just go with the flow :o) and relax.

I wasn't viewed until i replaced into 8 weeks and that i remember feeling the comparable frustration your feeling. once you first locate out your preggo it rather is all exciting and delightful for an afternoon or 2 and then starts the hassle and desirous to renowned that each thing is going because it is going to. yet actual, the only ingredient that assist you to recognize that each thing is going good is that no longer something happens. Kinda like the "no information is nice information" form ingredient when you consider that at this element all a doctor can do is a ultrasound and that ultrasound will maximum in all probability merely hassle you because of the fact it rather is too early to confirm or hear a heartbeat and it will actually merely appear as if a sac on your uterus. That wont make you experience to any extent further effective when you consider which you will contemplate whether the toddler is even turning out to be interior the sac and all that. So merely take a seat tight recognize that if some thing replaced into incorrect, you are going to recognize devoid of the generic practitioner having to enable you recognize. some aches and cramps right here and there is thoroughly conventional at your point so do no longer enable any of that hassle you except it rather is extreme and observed by way of bleeding/recognizing. I had some very uncomfortable cramping while i replaced into so a procedures as you yet as long because it is not any worse than universal menstrual era cramps then i myself would not hassle.

I am shocked to hear a OB Dr. refused to see you until your 8th wk. Most Dr.'s encourage early visits. They provide you with excellent advise, prenatal pills and most of all the relationship you have during this life changing adaption. They can make this an easier transition for you, your baby and family.
As to the your other question about finding another Dr. , I would definitely consider it. There are very few Dr.'s that will not even consider you after your first tri-mester.

Maybe I was lucky, I dont know. With both of my daughters, I was about 4-5 months along before I made it to the doctor. With my first, I was a teen trying to hide my pregnancy so my mother could not force me to have an abortion. With my second, I had no insurance and the clinic could not get me in. In any case, I heard a lot of griping and scolding for not being there sooner. But my first weighed 7lbs 8oz, and my second weighed 8lbs 8oz. Both were and still are healthy. 9 weeks is not that bad.

if you are taking care of yourself you should be OK. If you are worried you could call another Dr and see if you can get in sooner. if this is a Dr you are gonna be comfortable with then wait the week. It is only 1 more week am i correct? Congrats on the baby i was 19 when i had my first. Eat good and take vitamins. no alcohol or anything you are unsure of till you see the Dr.

Relax, this is actually common.
I felt nervous about it with my first pregnancy too. I was a high-risk pregnancy and I kept thinking "Everyone lectures about prenatal care and I can't get anyone to see me for 10 weeks!!!!" But everything was fine - and I got all the prenatal care I needed, high-risk and all!!! Both my reg OB and my high-risk OB - said "don't worry, 10 weeks is common everything will be fine."
Just take prenatal vitamins and keep eating well - they will fill you in on your first appointment.

I'm sure you're fine. I would suggest taking prenatal vitamins and maybe folic acid too. Sit tight, your appointment will come upon you in no time! Enjoy your pregnancy and read "What to Expect When You're Expecting."
