I noticed that all the other times he would go bankai, there was like only a big cloud and his reiatsu comin out but no getsuga tenshou, can u explain this to me?

I noticed that all the other times he would go bankai, there was like only a big cloud and his reiatsu comin out but no getsuga tenshou, can u explain this to me? oh and i'm in ep 118

my guess is that even though he could use bankai he still didn't have the greatest control over it. so in his semi-uncontrolled release of reiatsu the 'attack' came forth.
Not sure how much you've seen so it's hard to explain it too deep without ruining anything later on in the series

The first time he was kinda still not properly used to using bankai as that was his first time so it probably took longer to charge. But as u get more experinced using it, it wouldn't take as long and much spiritual energy.
