They are just used to the idea that you can throw it away. Out of sight, out of mind. They hardly realize that it goes to the dump and chemicals from the plastics may seep into the water. Much more horrible.

My mom had to use cloth diapers for me in the 80's because I had very sensitive skin. It would get irritated by the non-breathable plastic. Just wash in scalding hot water with bleach and dry out in the sun, and it's good to go.

used cloth diapers and i think there great my first child was allergic to disposable diapers and got quarter size blisters so i changed over and never had any problems with rashes or blisters again

you can get them though a service that picks them up each week or get your own

i had my own and washed them daily it was not al that much work you rinse them after the baby soils them and then wash them in your washing machine

because their uneducated and foolish(and in my opinion a wee bit lazy). they'd rather just wrap their little one in a expensive, chemical filled, plastic, non biodegradable, scratchy throw away one because chemical filled squishy goo that absorbs pee is much more sanitary then the freshly laundered, inexpensive, soft fluffy, earth friendly, cloth diaper... i guess no one has heard of hot water or bleach (hummm... maybe someone will come out with disposable clothing next wearing the same thing over and over ick) welcome to the age of "take n toss" soo sad sucha waste

I take it you have no kids yet.
No they are not unsanitary just hard work.
Modern "nappies" keep almost all moisture away from babies bottom and are much easier and quicker to use. OK they are not so good for the environment.

because you just wash the poo off..

but it is better than diapers since baby diapers are really uncomfortable for the baby cause it's like hot or something and its plasticy..

Maybe because they let them sit and spoil...
i don't think they are as long as you stay on top of them daily!
