I'm just curious which products you buy that are brand name and which you prefer to buy generic like shampoo, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, TV's, computers, purses, clothing, shoes.. ect....

I buy brand name products for almost anything, but sometimes for over-the-counter medicine I'll buy generics. Generic headache relief and allergy products still contain essentially the same ingredients - brand plays much less of a role for me.
I buy Starbucks coffee sometimes, but if it's not available I'll drink anything... the CEO of Starbucks recently said that their high store growth was contributing to their brand turning into a commodity... the fast food restaurants are selling higher quality coffee now and diminishing the Starbucks brand.

I don't buy anything generic. More often than not, the generic items fail at what they're supposed to do. If its a generic brand of appliance, you'll find it won't last very long compared to a well-known brand name product.

I will buy generic meds. I will not buy generic ketchup, mayo, alot of your food items. As far as cleaning supplies goes I only buy GAIN, Snobowl, and other stuff because I have tried others and they don't work. I buy all my clothes from the clearance racks. Well not always, but most of the time.My shoes have got to be good ones. I have diabetes, and feet comes first.

The few things that I wont buy generic: aluminum foil, dental floss, tooth paste, laundry detergent, sun screen, mac and cheese, tampons (will buy when i have to), and dish soap. There are others, but I can't think of them at the moment. Also, cotton swabs!!!

I buy brand if the item is important to me. I buy it for clothes and technology and even shampoo, makeup and face products.
I buy generic for stuff around the house because it is my cozy nook and cranny where only I use the stuff.
Now I seem a little vain. I might have to work on that lol

Dish soap, bar soap, computer, TV are brand name the rest generic or from discount stores.

I never buy generic mayo, butter or macaroni and cheese. I don't know why though it's just a rule with me. i do buy generic cool-aid, sugar and cereal. As far as clothing, I mostly shop at old navy, but i'll wear anything that fits right, no matter where it comes from.

I will never buy generic shoes. If my feet hurt I am miserable, and to me it's worth the extra to buy Nike or New Balance, since I'm on them all day.

It depends on the products. Some brands are terrible. Usually the no-name candy is barely edible.

there are alot of thigns that I will not use the generic of~! Ecspecially food products~! I will buy generic purses or shoes and sometimes t.v.'s or electronics~!
