The diameter of the cross screw is 3mm in diameter and 5mm deep.I have tried using a size 1 precision scew driver but was unable to remove it .any suggestions? Thanks

If you can't get it out because the head is stripped, then you may be forced to drill the screw head off. Then when you take the other part off you can use a pair of needle nese pliars to remove the rest of the screw.

Try a #0 size or a (3.0mm or a 3.5mm percision size)
What would help if you soak screw with some type of lubricant. Also if you can tap the screw a couple of times with a hammer to help jar the screw loose.(make sure you are tapping the screw driver)
