I am applying to the school of social sciences because the subjects under this field of study interest me the most. While I was taking an Economics course at Trinity, I realized that I was not only acquiring analytical skills, but I was also making better senses of the world around me. It was fun to ask and learn the whys. Along with an Economics major, I will also pursue the Premed program at Rice. I think this combination will not only give me an advantage when I’m applying to medical schools after graduation, but also help me when I am opening my own practice in the future.

I am applying to the School of Social Science because of my strong passion and interest for the subjects under this field of study.

During an Economics course I took at Trinity, I realized that I was not only acquiring healthy analytical skills, I was also making better sense and judgement of the world around me. I find it exciting to ask and discover the hows and whys.

Along with an Economics major, I intend to pursue the Premed program at Rice. I think this combination gives me a sound advantage when I apply at medical schools after graduation, and will inevitably stand me in good stead when I open my own practice in the future.

It looks great. The only think I see, that I might change, is Premed. Unless that is how it is written at Rice I think I'd change it to Pre-med or Pre-Medical. My reasoning for this is that premed is not in the dictionary.

Good luck in your endeavors.
