Does paula abdul realize when she compliments the contestants appearance we kno she didnt like the song?

I like Paula and think she's just trying to momentarily make the lesser singers feel better
about themselves and soften the "blows" that Randy and Simon give them. I know she should just comment on their singing; but she seems to have a good heart, and I can't find fault in that.

I think it's rather nice because it seems like she is trying to offer the contestant something positive. Personally, I don't think they take her as serious as Randy and Simon. I think viewers and contestants expect her to be the softer touch up on the judges' panel.

I think shes an actor on a show, and her "role" is to be sweet and nice, no matter what. So yes, i think she compliments on random subjects like clothing to allow for people to clap and adore her. That's not to say shes a bad person, and love it or not, shes an actor.

Yes, she realizes. She just doesn't like to say negative stuff, so when she doesn't like the singing she compliments other things. :o) But boy, when she actually DOES diss on someone, then she must really, really hate the singing!
