Central time is 6 hours west (behind) GMT (when they're not on that silly-αssed 'Daylight Savings Time' thingy)

IIRC, IST means International Standard Time and is just another way of saying GMT (Greenwich Meat Time) or UCT (Universal Coordinated Time) or what the Military calls 'Zulu'.
