Hi I am 5'3'' and I weigh about 90right now. when i go to the doctors they say i am fine. i don't look sick or anything and I feel just fine. I have just always been this way. I was wondering will this cause a problem if I decide to get pregnant. When I was younger I tried to gain weight on purpose. it never worked. guys are attracted to me anyways and i started to just accept my small frame. I am already scared to have a baby due to the pain the comes along and now im scared i may be too small

You are a tiny person. You could probably get pregnant without a problem as long as you are healthy otherwise. You should take your prenatal vitamins and eat healthy meals as you are underweight. I will tell you, though, that there would be a high possibility that you would have to deliver by c-section- especially if the baby is normal or larger size. It could be unsafe for both you and the baby if you delivered vaginally. With good prenatal care and ultrasound, your doctor will know this ahead of time. He will know the approximate size of the baby and can measure the width of your pelvis. It shouldn't come as a surprise. I suggest you be examined by an OB_GYN before you get pregnant and get their opinions. Good Luck

Your only problem would be if you didn't have enough body fat to ovulate. You would know if you had that problem because you wouldn't have periods.

A small frame might mean that your baby had to be delivered by c-section. Your doctor would probably be able to tell you. If you decide to try to get pregnant, you should go to the ob/gyn for a pre-pregnancy checkup, and the doc can address all of your concerns then.

hey, no such thing to be scared about... I used to be scared about a lot of things esp getting pregnant, going to hospitals, labor, and having the baby out... but here i am all proud of my accomplishment.. being a mother of a 14month old. Remember that we are all created to carry on what is given. so there is no such thing as too small or too big.. Some big people give birth to tiny babies, little ones may conceived bigger babies but your body will definitely adjust to accommodate the size of your baby. As long as you keep yourself healthy, no worries... Goodluck!

Nothing to worry about. Unfortunately after you have kids, you may end up having to watch what you eat. That's what happened to a friend of mine. She had both her kids naturally.

Heather Locklear (actress) has always been little and skinny. She's able to eat anything she wants - even after having kids. She has had kids with no problem at all.

well there is no problem with it.. my aunt was 5'1 and 82 pounds when she got pregnant.. but dont worry if you dont show or when you go to the doc if they say your baby is small as long as they say the baby is fine.. becuase your smaller yuor baby might not be that big but as long as everything inside is growing right it will be fine..
