Not original, but I have internalized this goal.

TO LEAVE IT IN A BETTER STATE THAN THAT (STATE) WHICH I HAD FOUND IT!

While I've got you, here's the poem, Life, from C. K. Charry:
You think if you love someone enough, they won't die.
You think if you work hard enough on your life,
you'll be happy.
But all of life is birth and death. And, suffering.
Without the end of what you've known, there is no beginning; no continuance.
You live to love and love all you can. Only that never dies.
You work through grief to create anew. You lead several lives.
But, for joy, earth-bound joy; that is fleeting!

Being able to positively affect many peoples and mostly Families lives through and health and wellness. Ghandi once stated that, health is true wealth, not gems or gold. I agree--having a great health, amounts to so much more in life--for everything else there's American Express. hehe But most importantly having a strong relationship in a family as well as a health and fit ones. Knowing that I have touched others lives and seen a smile on their face---thats a great amount of Joy. And when I have my own family, and it is a successful one--that will be an even greater joy to me.

The ultimate aim of all life is to reproduce and replicate. This is the primary objective of all plants and animals. It must survive and it must be sustainable. Humans are more complicated though demand a bit more direction in life. So, I think "enjoy life" is another aim that we can all strive for. How each person enjoys life is going to be different for everyone. As long as it doesn't hurt others, everyone should have the freedom to seek what they enjoy. ********************************** To all the god responses...if there was a god, and he was just, he wouldn't demand or even expect worship. He wouldn't ask you to give up your right of freedom to be enslaved to him. He would just want you to respect his other creations. He would tell you to live life for yourself and not as a servant to him. If he didn't think that, he isn't a god worth having.

First and foremost, to wake up another day.I strive for a comfortable place to live, enough to eat, health to enjoy the other two. Love of family and community and my country. To be the best that I can be. To be honest, faithful, and a friend to those in need. To be able to know the difference of when I should jump in, assist, and back off. Wisdom that comes with age and experiences, to honor the older, wiser ones and show tolerance for the younger ones.

My aim in life is to live in peace. Ultimately the life should end in the realisation of my own self, the God within me.

An Attempt to inspire those interested in knowing about self, an effort to 'create thirst' even by giving or seeking answers which in turn initiates a deeper enquiry into newer dimensions of awareness!!
