Agreed. Because between the first inhalation (birth) and the last exhalation (death), is LIFE - whatever happens between these two events is what is most important. Both Birth and Death are inescapable truth and we have no control over it - but we can chose the way we lead our life. Whether we have made it glittering, gimmicky, dark, bright. The Dash that we add to the series of events between Birth and Death defines us and make people take note.

How one looks at life is dependent on the person.
One can be optimistic, and find life to be a beautiful journey, whose purpose is to enjoy the journey as one goes along, NOT the final destination!
Search out what is your purpose in life: why were you put on earth? What would you like to acomplish, before Death ultimately catches up ? Isn't there something more than merely to eat, sleep, and procreate?
But Hey! How can life be a "Gimmick"??
Death is the ultimate truth, means that Death is a final reality that happens and will happen to each and every living creature.
Despite some temporary delays in ageing that one may achieve (By ant-ageing gimmicks!), finally One HAS to die.[This is true of all animals, plants, and even inanimate things like rusting steel, rock, and cities!] All God's creations have also to get destroyed , for the transformation process to be continually in action.

Life is a glittering gimmick; Death is the ultimate truth.
Because life once reaches the death end can never come back to its beginning point.

There is a quote" All that glitters is not gold". Life is also the same glittering. Whatever u earn u r going to lose at your death. which is an ultimate truth.

At death, the world can dig into all your deep dark secrets and see what you really were in life. You can hide everything and think you can carry it to the grave, but ultimatley "all things that are done in the dark, will be revealed in the light." You saw all those magicians tricks revealed didnt ya!

To me, birth and death are the two side of the same coin. Life is an opportunity to work out our karma.
