This weekend is prom.... I have everything all set i just need to know what is a good complementing color.... My Date is wearing a Pinkish-Orange Dress.... yes i know i don't get it either haha... She described it as salmon.... I need to know a good color to complement that for my Vest and Tie, I was thinking just regular black, Maybe Silver, White, Pink, or orange.... any advice???

I would stick with a rudeamentary color for the vest such as silver, black or white; black would be best. As far as the tie color is concerned I would walk into the men's section of a nice department store and find a salesclerk and flat out say "I need a deep pink or salmon tie, do you have something" That will match the dress, make it look like you care and compliment her very well. And trust me, as a female I will tell you, you cannot just show up with any pink tie!
Oh, and for her corsage I would suggest either a white rose or something that would compliment, not stand out.

Please do not wear an orange tie. You'll regret it!
I suggest a black vest with pink tie. Or at least try to shop around for a similar colour (just ask if they have a 'salmon' coloured tie in the retailers).
By the way, I'm a girl and I know exactly what colour your date is wearing for the prom. It's a very cute and youthful colour, and should be available in some stores. Won't be too easy to find, but I'm sure if you looked in all the suit stores you'll find one because I've seen them before.

wear the usual color like sliver and black for your tie..you polo may be salmon in color to complement with your partner's dress

probably black vest with tie containing pink. I would not go with the orange as it might suggest halloween.

Go for...all black except your tie. Try to get a salmon tie, but if you can't find one go w/ white. Have fun!

ok 1st thing is - she means peach color(between orange n pink) honestly its a very nice lovely color. ok if u r going in black suit- go for a peach shirt and silver(will match with her jewellery, assuming she is wearing silver jewellery ;) ) or black(will match with ur suit) tie. makesure ur shirt peach n her dress peach are the exact same shade. u'll be fine. in case u wanna go for something neutral, go for silver shirt n peach tie.

Salmon.....a different shade of pink. It's cool for men to wear that color.
