I was a new motorcycle cop and I pulled up to take an accident report from these people whose teenager had struck something. No big deal, absolutely no hurry, normal traffic accident report.
I pulled up to their house and glanced over to see them awaiting my arrival on my shiny Kawasaki Police 1000, their tax dollars at work and all that.
I pulled into a patch of sand and the bloody bike went whoops! and slid out, slamming onto the ground at about 3 mph. Other than the HUGE dent in my ego and the obliteration of any pride I felt with my shiny black boots and brilliant black and white helmet, I was OK.
The family was SO POLITE, they didn't even break a smile or anything and we conducted the accident investigation.
I have absolutely no doubt that two thoughts occurred to them after I left.
1) we have to laugh ourselves sick.
2) where was our video camera when we needed it?
Thank goodness this was in 1990 when camcorders weren't attached to every building face and cellphone.

Emailed a TOTALLY X-RATED letter to the wrong person (my Italian teacher) BY MISTAKE!!!! I was so freaking embarrassed, I was nearly in tears. I even called Yahoo to try to retract it somehow. (Not possible.)
She reacted in the most gracious way possible: when I then emailed her with a vague apology for my mistake, she claimed that she had never received it! I thought that was the classiest thing I had ever seen a person do.

Definitely re-enacting Chris Farley's motivational speaker routine. You know...the "In a van down by the river!!!" thing. Fun...but yes, definitely embarrassing.

This is just one of a few.... Wore My T-Shirt to mcdonalds and a convenient store with my pocket of the shirt on my back instead of in front. lol ppl behind me were talkin about me and I didnt knwo why but when I got to my destination someone ask me if I had myshirt on backwards or if it was the way it was made. ROFLMAO

there has been quite a few, but the worst was when i was in Las Vegas and we were standing watching a water show, and i was holding my 4 month old trying to get him to sleep- it was around 9 pm. After the show, everyone clapped and it woke up my son who had FINALLY fallen asleep and i yelled at everyone "what the hell is everyone's problem!!" (I was exhausted from walking and holding him and it had been almost 6 hours from his last nap and he had been really really fussy.) Everyone fell completely silent and turned and looked at me- and I farted. wow, did i go red. lol

I was at a comedy club where a hyponotist was performing and I volunteered, and got hypnotized into thinking that I couldn't sit down because I had misplaced my butt.
