Why do people allow their children to watch violence in movies without second thought, but closely monitor if the movie has any sex in it? I used to work in a video store and noone cared what movies there children rented as long as they had no "love" scenes. yet, they didnt care if it was filled with over-the-top violence.

Interesting observation. We do limit sex content and not violence and we have one of the most violent civilized countries in the world with loads of single moms. Other countries that follows this MO also have loads of serial killers. Go figure. Also most countries that are repressive on this subject (no nudity or prostitution etc) tend to me more violent for women as well.
