Background information:
Back in college I met this guy who was very popular. My best friend at the time (who I silently liked) hated him. After a while, my friend and I joined a group at school to be active in an extracurricular activity. Only to find out that the popular guy was the leader. My friend quit the group after a couple of week...don't know the real reason, anyway I stayed.
Couple of months later I was asked to be part of a group activity in a local bar (some type of welcome to the group thing) and I did not go. I was then asked to attend a second activity as well in the bar by the leader of the group (popular guy for all major purpose we will call him Brad). At which time I agreed.
I went to the bar and looked for some people but only found Brad in the bar. I decided since I was already there I could stay and join him for a drink. Short after, he drove me to my car and we had a bery nice conversation. As he walked me to my car he then kissed me...I wasn't

Like I said I wasn't okay with the kiss but did not moved away from him. The next day I showed up to class and my best friend (which we will call him Chris) asked me how things were in the group and I didn't answered. I felt guilty for letting Brad kiss me while knowing Chris disliked him. So I kept my mouth close. Later that same month, Brad asked me to date and I accepted (and I did not tell Chris). I felt guilty for not telling my friend but I moved on. Brad and I dated for some time (almost a yr). Then Brad left to his hometown on vacation and he started behaving very weird. Although he was the first to say " I luv u" I thought he had met some1 back home and did something he might not have been proud of. Anyway, 2 months after the vacation he decided to end things with me. To be honest, I kinda expected that move but didn't say anything. We were close but not very open to the public about the relationship (Don't ask don't tell thing). We went on with our lives when...

1 day, I learned he dropped out of college and moved back home. We lost contact with each other. By then, Chris had learned from the relationship and was upset with me. Sometimes we would ask me "why would you date that loser?" At the same time, he lost (as I learned later) any hopes of going out with me and viceversa. After graduation, I heard of Chris every so often until 1 day all communication stopped. The same happen with Brad (so I thought). I met this great guy (Will) and we started dating and everything moved forward. He knew of both Brad and Chris not only from me but from mutual friends we had in college. Will and I decided to get married and short after we got pregnant. Everything was running smoothly. The baby was born and every1 happy and without worries. Until 1 day, when I logged on my messenger I got a prompt from one of my contacts and I decided to read it. Only to find out it was Brad. He confirmed many rumors going around campus after our split. He...

married a girl from his hometown. I told him, I was married as well and that I had a baby. He was shocked and we continue to talk to each other. Later that same day, he told me he would like to be friends even if we lost contact for a long time after we splitted. I agreed!
2 days later, he contacted me through messenger again and told me that he still had feelings for me. I told him there was nothing we could do about it. I was not going to cheat on my hubby and that he should remain truthful with his wife. He told me he wanted me to know and that he wanted me to help him as a friend. I was hesitant about it but I agreed once more. We kept chating and every now and then he would tell me something from our past or how he felt. I told him I was very uncomfortable with the situation. Anyway, he then told me he had joined the military (Marines) and that he was going to be deployed to Iraq. I felt bad for him..so I message him that I wished him the best. When his wife replied

"please stop talking to my husband". Which I told her I did not have a problem with so we both stopped chatting with each other since then. I wanted to respect his wife even if I wanted to say bye before he had to leave to Iraq. I had to add all of the background info for everyone to understand. To conclude the question above....
I love Will (my husband) but from time to time I can't forget what Brad told me. Some times I have even dream that he was coming over my home to visit me or we went out to get a coffee or something. Please note that none of these dreams have been in a sexual way. I sometimes also think that Chris and I lost whatever contact we had thanks to my relationship with Brad. Why if I love my husband, I can't seem to forget what Brad said? What does this mean?

maybe it's just that you had an unfinished business together... nothing to worry about. but you should also ask your hubby's opinion. if you are really sure that you have no feelings for that loser!

Like I said elsewhere and many times, women have something good going but would deliberately muck it up just for the heck of it. It is a woman thing, let emotions drive you to relationship ruins. Well done

I am not sure what you are asking, but if the question is should you date him because your best friend hates him? Well that is your choice, is she your best friend for life? Has she been? Well even if so she should understand and let you date him.
