I looking for a flower/plant to put right outside my bedroom window. I'm looking for something that will smell nice but not too strong and nothing that grows higher than 4ft. What else could I add...I live in california and I'm looking for an annual. Thanks for any replies!

How about lavender or Russian sage? They're not annuals but they smell good, and not too sicky-sweet.

Gardenia is a good one. If you have room for a vine, try planting some moonflowers. They bloom at night and smell really nice.

Sunflower,Tulips and lavenders are lovely and sweet-smelling.I don't no whether they are annual or not but I know that they are sweet-smelling and very pretty too!

California ... perfect for tuberose which is native to Hawaii
