if you have the money, can afford it, and you want it, it's not a waste of money. you worked hard for it. you can do what you want. isn't that the reason you did good in school? so that you can grow up and buy yourself nice things?
added:
parents' money? you go tell your mom to save her money. SHAVE. doo good in school, and when you grow up, buy yourself nice things.

I don't know where you live but $1,000 is very cheap for laser removal of the legs. Is this a 1 off session? You won't be hairless with 1 or 2 sessions. You will require at least 4 minimum, the average about 6 or more. My full legs cost me $750 a session! I have already spent a few thousand and will require 2-3 more sessions, I've had 4. I get laser and not IPL which is only a little cheaper. It will be worth it but not worth getting just 1 or 2. I love my results so far. I would actually go somewhere good and see what they say, how many sessions and what it will cost overall. If that's what you pay for multiple sessions where you live, I wanna come there and get mine done!!

If blades are about $2 each and you change it every two week you spend $50 a year on blades. Maybe you spend another $50 on creams and lotions for shaving fo a total of $100 a year.

So in 3 years you would only spend $300. So it cost $700 more!

But you no longer have to waste any time shaving. Or applying lotions, or caring for cuts....So is that worth the extra money? Maybe.....

It depends on how hairy you are... the color and texture....laser hair removal is SUPPOSED to be permanent and the treatments can be mildly painful...i haven't had it done..(fortunately i am not hairy and blonde so i do not even bother with shaving my legs)...anyhow...i DO know that it requires repeat sessions ....so be sure of the cost before you commit!..
I would factor in you age -- determine how many razors/shave gels you would purchase for the rest of yoru life...AND the time you spend shaving...maybe the scars avoided from knicks and cuts
if you don't have to shave ALL the time i would say unless you had that kind of disposable income it may be a tad excessive
BUT if the factors above out weigh the total GO FOR IT!...treat yourself but i would make sure they GUARANTEE TOTAL removal..
lastly...make sure they are a reputable laser place...i have seen horrific stories on TV of non qualified technicians..GOOD LUCK!

Think about it this way. Total up the amount of money you spend for razorblades, and for shaving cream time's three years worth. I've had lazer hair removal on both my legs and underarms, and Now, four years later, I've still yet to see a single sprout.

I heard that tale in spite of the undeniable fact that it reported that replaced into going to be the costs for the luxurious packing bins. those who may have the funds for to pay for luxurious suites at the prompt are not truly in contact with money. I actually have little question that expenditures will bypass up for a lager, coke, warm canines, hamburger and so on in spite of the undeniable fact that that's going to likely be by ability of a greenback or 2 for the everyday fan

whoa...yea. I mean sure buying razers and waxing stuff adds up over time, but in order to put that money towards Laser, would be like NOT shaving for a really ...really long time. But if it's something you really have to get done and you feel like it's important than go for it. But shop around some.
