It just depends on your major. If it's chemistry, engineering, or even applied sciences, it will be MS. If it's english, music, history, etc. it's MA.

Arts defines as study of general knowledge and skill of any subject while science is a branch of knowledge based on objectivity and involving observation and experimentation. So, degrees usually invoving experimentation are named as science degrees. However, whether its arts or science, its a major categorization master degrees has to mentions some subject like Master of Arts in Anthropology, ethic and Master of Science in Chemistry, Physics etc.

Nothing but the subject you are studying. For example, if you major in math, you would get a Master of Science. And if you majored in music, that would be a Master of Arts. E-z!

A Master of arts requires two years of foreign language. In some schools computer languages satisfy this requirement in part. A master of science requires no foreign language
