I've just started working in a new place . I am a language teacher. Things were running smoothly untill my principal started to delegate some important role to me such as finding a new teacher for the centre, getting some message across to some teachers , well most of the teachers don't really like the way she runs the place because she is really inexperience. anyway one of the teacher the senior one seems ok with me in the beginning untill recently she started to show some kind of dislike on me , well that really upsets me . well do I have choice? I just like helping people and futhermore I have more experience in doing it. Nothing more.
I like to work in a happy environment and nothing more. Could someone help me with the situation?

Why is the principal having you do all those non-teaching jobs? And you're new to boot? That sounds fishy. I wouldn't delegate important responsibilities to the newest employee.

Sometimes newbies make the mistake of offering to do more than the older employees, so the boss will like you. In reality, you end up taking on too much because you're wrong about being able to do so much more than the older ones, plus now they hate you. Time to back off and just teach. Let the older ones run things until you ARE an older one.

i have an idea... tell the principle that the task is way to important for u to do... it sounds like a job for someone who knows the community.. knows the staff through and through.... sounds like the principle would be best at do this!

make him/her feel like its a very important task that only they could do properly, and they will either do it, or reassign it to someone else. good luck! sneaky!!

Looks like you didn't try to find more responsibility, it found you!
And, welcome to the leadership club. You can't walk away from it.
As for the person who has turned cold towards you, does she sign your paycheck?
