I believe some guy named "Rutt, push, oh yea, Rush" was one of the biggest people saying this, and William Jefferson Clinton was nominated, and re-vitalized the Democratic Party. And won two terms, even after the Republicans spent 80,000,000.00 investigating if he had sex with an ugly woman.

The Republicans were wrong that the Democratic Party will never exist in 1992. By this time, the Democrats are in control of Congress.
