Is red-XIII a cat or a dog???? please answer me.

Red XIII / Nanaki is more of a canine than a feline, so I go with dog, though a wolf or even a hyena is more similiar to him. Plus he howl at the moon, no cat I know do that.
However, he's a fantasy creature, so he has the features of many creatures, plus many more other things. I mean, when is the last time you saw a dog or a cat with a flaming tail?
As for him being a feline.
Well... Kerberos from Card Captor Sakura when he is in his complete form look like a cat than a dog, eventhough his name was based on Kerberos / Cerberus, the three headed dog that guarded Hades.
Note: Garm is the dog guardian of Nibelheim.
Anyway. If you look at Nanaki's faces, he does look like a cat, but his overall body is canine in feature.

I agree dog/wolf but it does look something like a cat though too a Lion matter of fact.

I would say a dog, the cat character was the cat that rode on the stuffed animal (I can't remember his name... the one that they keep thinking is a spy, then he gets killed in the temple that implodes, then comes back later), but if you look at the 2 there is a definite difference.

red's a wolf how i know is cause i ewent to a bowling alley and played this fighting game i forgot what it's called but it has people from street fighter, FFVII, and a few other games and it says hes a wolf when you beat his story mode

its hard to say, he has feline features but he does howl at the full moon. hes got both traits. ive never heard a cat howl but ive never seen a wolf that has a main or ahiary tipped tial

Well, technically, he's neither...he more closely resembles a manticore, but his actual design was based on all three...
I always thought he was more of a cat myself though...

I think he's more of a Dog... Cyote maybe... not a tiger or cat tho.
