how do you customize the colors of your character's board and clothes because i saw a deo with elise's canada shirt blue instead of red

You have to earn the new costumes & boards. When you are selecting the character, it should tell you something like "Press up/down" or "left/right" to change the costume of your character. I think it's the 2nd selection after you decide what character you want.
