I went home straight from the hospital. You need plenty of rest after birth. Why bother to show off your baby that very moment? Huh? You have a good rest and then you can start showing off your baby....

The 1st thing I did when I reached home was to make sure my baby is comfortable in his bed....

WHAT?! well after 12 hours of labor and 2 hours of pushing (no drugs), I was tired. Went home to my own bed later that day. First thing I did was take a hot shower! After that, all I did was nurse and nap. People need to realize that the baby is adjusting to a completely different environment, so you don't want her/him around alot of bright light, loud noise, lots of people spreading germs all over the baby...at least in the very beginning! LOL! good luck.

for the reason that they are no longer able to brand call them formally I see no longer something incorrect with it. definitely everyone merits an id of a few variety. Gosh, we even do a similar situation with the deceased interior the morgue in the event that they're unknown. John and Jane Doe all started that way and now they have long gone directly to different names as nicely. If the unnamed lifeless could have nicknames I see no explanation why those harmless toddlers would not have a similar courtesy prolonged to them.

With my first i brought her over to see her grandparents since i went past them on my way home, with my second, i had to bring him to walmart to pick up a couple more things before going home then stopped by a friend house to show them real quick, then i went home, put my daughter down for a nap, fed my son, put him to sleep, then slept myself.

When I got home I enjoyed breast feeding my daughter in the privacy of my own room rather than a hospital. I wouldn't recommend taking a newborn too many places until they are a few months old because they are so prone to getting sick.

#1 - staight home since the family was waiting to see her.
#2 - to visit with family (three different stops) before going home and she was cranky and throwing up all night.
#3 - to my mom's and stayed the night before going home to get the little man settled (mom died seven months later).
#4 - to see my father-in-law (mother-in-law died while we were in the hospital) so he could meet his namesake. This was also my only c-section so I was in pain while trying not to dwell on the funeral that also doubled as the whole family's introduction to the newest member of the family.

I was hungry, so we went to Taco Bell, then to the pharmacy to fill the prescriptions the doctors gave me for pain meds (I had a c-section). Then we went home.
