Go to the State's Secretary of State website. Do a company or entity name search. There you'll find out who owns it.

Could u be more specific.Do u want to understand the nuances of business and ownership or wanted to set up a business start up on your own.If u want to do the first one,enrol Yourself in a Finance and accounting course with main emphasis on entrepreunership.If u want to start up a business on your own,Have a good idea and implement it.You can read some books on Entrepreneurs..Good luck
