We have the worst top 12 since the show started. No one stands out, everyone is boring. Not really any 'wow' singers. Uninteresting personalities and people. Reason why Melinda Doolittle is the frontrunner is because of the overwhelming weakness of her competition.
FOX ain't cancelling this show, people will still watch, it will destroy competition in the ratings for the next couple of seasons...but the show is aging.
There is no superstar like Kelly or Carrie...no 'should win' guys like Chris Daughtry...not even a freakin' Clay Aiken....

Yes, I agree with you. This season is nothing compared to the ones in the past. It seems like the people that can really sing are being sent home while they are keeping tone deaf people on the show. This year's top 12, I feel that only about half of them can sing. I still don't think Taylor should have win last year. It just a big popularity contest gone wrong. People aren't voting based on talent anymore.

I live in Australia and Australian Idol your right, soooo true every year they get shiiiiter . I don't know why arn't they meant to get better?..they suck. They had the last season of American idol shown here and i wanted Chris daughtry to win...Australian Idol is getting shiiiter just like our Big Brother....

I can honestly say that I have never seen a full episode of this show. Why would I? It's insulting.

I agree. My mother and brother watch it together and enjoy it so much. It's really boring and they're all either terrible singers or annoying people. Only the auditions are mildly amusing... BOO AMERICAN IDOL!!!

i watch to see how long will the "great singers" (note the sarcasm) last in the competition. good thing sundance was eliminated. sanjaya and haley needs to go next.

I have watched limited American Idol. I think you have to be tone deaf to watch it actually. Terrible stuff...
