I am now 35 years of age. I have not worked before , just in a school as a nursery teacher for a year and long back in another school. Recently I have done my DNIIT (in software engineering)and have scored a good percentage above 85% from NIIT. I can not do GNIIT due to my age. So its one year short of GNIIT that means I am not doing placement but rest qualification is same. I am topping my batch too. Can I still find a job somewhere. I can do even faculty work have no hassels about it. My strong skills are Java , J2EE, Sql and VB.net , Asp.net . I know c++ too but not very comfortable with it. I mean I will have to go through with it once more before an interview. what are my chances?

Your decision to complete a soft ware engineering course and your results are inspiring. I do not know in particular about the course or field you mentioned, but I am here to offer you a bit of moral support.

Believe in your self and go forward courageously. 35 years of age is not old atall. Some employers might be looking for people with a mature attitude about life. I have seen job adds with the phrase "mature minded person".
Don't worry about your age. It's something you cannot control. Think about the things you can control and focus your energy there. If you show your potential employers that you got better skills in soft ware engineering than other candidates, I am sure you would be successful in your job hunt. I wish you all the best.

You can get a job if you just look...it will be a little harder than most but some employers just want a 2yr degree and that is good enough. The question you should ask yourself is "can I sell myself to an employer to allow them to give me the chance to prove myself to them"?.
