Talk to some local brokers. Tell them that you are curious about a career in real estate, and let them explain how things work in your marketplace.

You will need to have a broker sponsor you to ultimately take your real estate licensing exam, so find out whom you like and pursue them to sponsor you. Then go to school for your pre-licensing classes.

I would start as a property locator. You can get paid to spend other investors money. Its an easy way to learn the market and get paid with Zero risk to you!
