by firing the originally planned all 93 US attorneys with eight?
This story will continue to gain momentum and not just because of Rove, Weh, Myers or Domeici. It is looking increasingly like the Bush admin wanted to purge disloyal US attorneys - a political move.
At what point do we as Americans say stop? We have seen the politicization of science (can you say Climatologists), the manipulation of Intel (Douglas Feith and his famous war spinning inside the Pentagon) and now the infection of the Justice department of partisan politics.
This isnt democracy. Its despotism where all opposing views or silenced.
When does it end?

For those who claim Clinton did it, you need to post proof that Bill ordered it...
We all know that Reno (Janet) did it...now prove the link between Clinton and Reno.
The link I post refers to emails from the WH to the AG in Justive to proceed. Got one for Bill? And, uh, try and answer the question for once...

This story is small time. It'll probably cost Gonzalez his job, and that'll be the end of it until it comes back up next year in the lead-up to November, and it'll be a partisan issue then, too.
Where is the outcry about the abuse of the Patriot Act by the FBI? This is Orwellian totalitarianism rearing its head, setting a precedent for future generations! Where does the war on terror end so that these abuses can end? Who can prove that it has ended? Imagine the hysteria of another attack, what can we be persuaded to not notice?
No one will ever say "stop" because they're not paying enough attention. The answer i so often get is, "I'm not doing anything wrong, why should I care?" These people claim to believe in the Constitution, yet cannot be bothered to defend it.
My brain is eating itself alive.

I have just one thing to say to you, BJ Clinton fired all the U. S. Attorneys when he took office as President of the United States so he could appoint the people he wanted at those jobs. Is this really that much different?

You're reading the NY times, which is like reading the Enquirer. The President appoints who ever he feels will be best at carrying out his policies and can remove who he feels is doing a poor job as a few of the above mention have done. All Presidents do reshuffling as that is the nature of the beast. If you want rapist punished for their crimes you want conservative judge, but if you want them to be rehabbed (no such thing) then you get a Liberal. It's that simple.

Clinton fired all 93 US attorneys when he took office. It happens all the time. You're just young and don't realize that it is common practice when a president of a different party takes office and clears out all the old US attorneys from the former administration.
