Call a parts store and ask how much a head rebuild gasket set costs and how much head bolts are.

The head should be taken to a machine shop to be trued and checked for cracks around the vavles, etc. They can clean it up, true it, and install the new valve seals that come in the rebuild kit.

You will probably need new head bolts. Most aluminum heads do not use head bolts that can be reused.

The cost of the headgasket and a tube of RTV will cost you about $25 at any auto parts store. However the costly part of the problem is figuring out what caused the gasket to blow and how much it is going to cost to fix that problem. It is usually because you ran out or very low on coolant and warped the head. You will have to mill it flat if possible, that is if it isn't cracked. Then how long was it driven like that. What other damage happened when you were driving it with the gasket blown. That is where the money starts piling up. Changing the head gasket is a fairly simple task. Making sure it doesn't happen again is the hard part.

According to Autozone.com it would be less than $20, that doesnt include the headbolts which are required to be changed when you change the gasket on this car.

Depends on the engine size. you can check out prices almost anywhere say advanceauto.com partsamerica.com autozone.com etc. me had one 2.2 litre engine (7 years ago) same thing headgasket. depends if you have to have the head milled if you did not crack the head and need to replace it or got lucky and it is just the gasket. more or less it would be less expensive to find another used car i would say.

You can get the gasket for about $30.

I would say under $50.00 to do the job.

I think you need to ask either your uncle or the part supplier this question. But if you insist that I answer, I'd say $300,000.
