The thing is that I want to play a guitar since I was a child (got an interest in drums and trumpets but I never wanted to actually play those) but recently I got a Casio brand keyboard. However, I would like to play the guitar but I want to first find out a few things about it before I loose everything I got for the keyboard! Okay, here's the questions:

- What do I use to fix and clean up and stuff my guitar (if I get one)?
- What brand of guitar should I use?
- I'm a quiet but when I get comfy I'm really loud kind of person, should I quit playing keyboard (I barely began)?
- If I do play guitar, what is the best suggested way to learn (my friend is also determined to play the guitar)?

Thank you for your help!!!

Ok. I'm a musician too.
i mainly play bass, but I started off on piano/keyboards since I was eight.
it's good to know how to play more than one instrument.
Even though you want to play guitar, still practice the keyboard, even if it's just every now and then.

I would use an Ibanez. Fenders are cheap, and they sound cheap too on the guitar. (bass is a different story)
No, don't ever quit what you've started!
It's grteat if you're self taught. I am. and whenever I tell someone that, they're so amazed! So it's good to impress people with that. Just play by ear, and eventually, just take some tips from every different genre of players.
Have fun! And Rock On Newbie!!

But don't limit yourself to one style of music or instrument! Ever!!
Big No No!

Honostly, this is a rather personal question for you to answer yourself. If you already own the keyboard, I think you should stick with it until you at least know enough on it to decide whether you like it or not. Its important you realize your not simply going to pick up either instrument and instantly be able to play. Try the keyboard for a while then maybe buy a cheap guitar to see if you like that or not and decide which you like better then invest some money into getting either a nicer guitar or keyboard. Practice and patience are the only true answer.

Guitars are very easy to keep clean and if you wan to know a good brand of guitar go to http://www.breedloveguitars.com this company makes by far some of the best guitars in the world and they are very reasonably prices also check out yamaha and Washburn..If i were you i would keep learning both instruments ..because the technic you will develope with your ear while learing piano will make you a great guitarist..i have been playing guitar for over 20 years now since the age of 12..and i have been in bands since the age of 16.I have played with many great keyboard players who one day decided to pick up and learn how to play guitar and came so easy to them that in a few months they were better than guys who have been playing for many many years...there is just something about the talented ear that develops as a keyboard player so do yourself a favor and stay with the keyboards for now ..besides there are alot of guitar players availlable looking for work but every keyboard player worth his weight in sand is playing and making good money and getting alot of attention from women more often than men..especially if you sing lead and harmony..
good luck my friend

Play keyboard/piano its the easiest, when you know how to play it you can play guitar easily that's what i have learnt ...so it will make learning and playing guitar easier then it would when u just start of with the guitar...have fun (who said u couldn't play both lol...take professional lessons check Ur local newspaper for their numbers and give them a call, ask them what guitar u should start off with and the extra info u need they would defiantly have the answers.
