should Taiwan proclaim for it own Independence ?

As we known in all mass media that china always warn Taiwan for trying to proclaim independence, and china claim that Taiwan is a part of china.

If Taiwan were to proclaim independence, China would invade within hours. The United States would withdraw forces then, because Taiwan would have, by the agreements in place, provoked China into attack.

It'd be about the worst possible thing they could do for independence, really. They are independent, just not well recognized officially. Until the CCP loses power, this seems to be how things will stay.

We who read know that taiwan has been an independent republic since the end of WWII, and that China talks , but doesn't ever intend to do anything foolish as to try to force them to submit.. Kinda like what is between u.s.a. and cuba. They cannot do anything about it, nor can we.

I suggest you learn some history about this issue.
As a Chinese I prefer leave this question to the residents of Taiwan to make final decision. We Chinese people all don't like to launch a war. We are from the same ancestor. We won't fight with each other.

Communist Chinese atrocities are well-documented. They have crushed unarmed protesters with tanks, sent dissidents off to re-education (slave) labor camps, and murdered women who have defied the government's one-child policy. And let's not forget Mao's famine. They have killed more of their own people than Stalin and Hitler combined. I would not recommend annoying them unneccesarily.

I could care less. I hope they get whatever they want. Glad to sell them missiles etc but I wouldnt commit a single american soldier to any of that mess. I would also like to offer them Blackwater and as many as they could hire as a mercenary army.

Sure, why not? they are not part of the main land and have a good robust economy and really do not need China so I think it would be a good move.
