I do not doubt the contestants musical ability... they are fabulously talented... but is mere talent what music is about? (And no... I do not watch the show, but somehow I am inundated with it).

I think it is just a way to find new good talent... most "singers" now days are fake and lip syn, and with shows like AI- at least you get the real thing-- No I don't watch the show neither ((:

That show has gotten so boring, I have to change the channel. People obviously don't know real talent because the same losers keep singing.

I don't understand your question. Do you mean cheating by not paying their dues? I watch it and mostly enjoy it. I like seeing tremendously talented people getting a chance that they would probably have never had. I do not like the auditions.

Yes I would rather that none of it had ever existed, ever. It is a cheap shortcut and I never liked any of it. Bratty seventh placed singers winning movie awards, really !

it's great when someone enjoyable wins, even better when that person succeeds and has more ,or in some cases at least, one hit...
however, when you have websites like "votefortheworst.com" it ruins the experience and someone decent from winning.
alas, that's the biz it's all about what brings in the money. tone deaf or not
