I have a 30GB iPod and when I plug it up to my computer after putting music videos on iTunes, it is updating it, then a box pops up and says something about "the videos weren't copied because they cannot be played on this iPod". I'm not fimiliar with everything about the iPod so correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't they supposed to work on a 30GB? Once I put a music video on there (not sure how I did it) but when I went to play it, there was no sound, only the video itself. So is my iPod not the right kind to play videos, or am I doing something wrong?

if you converted then thats not the problem go to your ipod in itunes then go to movies or music videos and make sure the playlist are checked off. and make sure you add the movies on just like you do your music. and to disconnect your ipod with out messing it up go to the right conner of your computer where it shows the time and look for a like green arrow and right click on the block that shows up and in a few seconds you will be able to disconnect with out messing it up

You should be able to play the video. Is your iPod software up to date? Try this: Connect your iPod to your computer. Click on 'Help' and then 'Check for updates.'
