Antibiotics are not always the answer. There are a lot of proven, homeopathic remedies that work better, and faster than antibiotics (and you don't have to worry about your son growing immune to them.) My personal recommendation based on customer experience, as long as your child does not have tubes in his ears and the ear drum is not perforated, is ear oil. It's fantastic stuff with antimicrobials, antibacterials, and analgesic properties.

Go to the doctor. He'll probably give him the pink stuff that looks like Pepto Bismal. It' called Amoxicillan (not sure of the spelling).

Untill you can get to a doctor in the morning, tylenol and a hot water bottle with warm water in it. Your probably in for a long night. I feel for you.
