Name Change in Texas W/ Felony?

If I change my name and have a felony will the felony follow my new name. I want to change it so I can get a better job and not have to worry about the felony showing up. Its been more the 7 years but still I cant get a good job just temp work. Anyone know how to do that? for Texas and what steps to do

Okay so I go change my SSN and DL. Then will they still know that the DMV that I have changed my name and I have a felony?

The government that's keeping tabs on your felony is the same government that's going to be giving you a new number, your felony will not be overlooked.
