hello everyone,
i have pet mice.
the first two i got were feeder mice a friends snake wouldnt eat.
i felt bad for the lil ones so i decided to keep them.
they were orignally so small there eyes werent open. well now there all grown up. well one of the two likes to run in circles often. i looked this up and know the problem. he doesnt do it as much anymore but the other mouse grew ALOT faster then this one and this one always seemed a little "touched" well all he really does is sit around and doesnt do much. hes not a runner nor is he really active that much. he always sits hunched over. well i think hes blind. how could i tell hes blind? he doesnt react to any movement of my hands just noise and smell. i recently got 2 fancy mice and they live with the touched one and they clean and take care of him.
whats wrong with him?

Feeders are indiscriminately bred because that is all they are intended to be. Sounds like a bit of inbreeding.

Lucky the other mice are not pulling a cannibal act as has happened many times before. He is luck he has some good pals... smile.

He sounds blind and perhaps the runt of the litter, so to speak.

Grins. Why not get him a white cane (paint a toothpick) and a pair of Barbie doll size sunglasses.

*sorry the visual made me say that!*

I used to feed mice to snakes and know that feeders are usually not very strong genetically.

if he doesn't respond to movement then he probably is blind. but since he is growing and he has others taking care of him i wouldn't worry to much. as he gets older though he will need more care from you. don't move anything out of it's usual spot since he relys on it to be there. i had a blind mouse and they get really stressed with to much change. there really is no differance between a feeder mouse and a fancy mouse. other than the age that they sell them at.

provide up being so politically appropriate, its boring. If the three mice have been blind and their tails have been chopped by using a carving knife then thats the music. I heard it & sung it and it hasn't scarred me. I even have grown up purely positive... provide up being this form of tight **** and loosen up a splash. your babies purely get one early existence, dont screw theirs up because of the fact of your stupid perspectives. enable them to sing what ever they prefer, enable them to run around interior the airborne dirt and dust with out footwear, who cares in the event that they climb a tree with the potential of injuring themselves. Thats what being a toddler is all approximately & they'll learn from that, toddler boomers grew up doing those issues and the worlds continues to be revolving so it cant be that undesirable??
